Sage Coffee Machines
Sage coffee machines come with a built in burr grinder with an adjustment dial to adjust the amount of ground beans. The beans are put directly into the portafilter. They also have pre-infusion with low pressure and a 9 bar extraction system to ensure perfect espresso every time.

Barista Express
The Barista Express is a high-quality espresso maker that gives you the experience of a cafe at home. It comes with a variety of features that are ideal for those who want to practice their skills but also comes with options that help novices get great shots quickly. It's slightly more expensive than other machines we've tested, however it has a better performance.
The machine is equipped with a thermocoil which rapidly heats up and allows for simple transitions between the brewing process and vaporizing. It is one of only a handful of machines that can produce the perfect layer of steamed-milk for lattes. This can be difficult without lots of practice. This feature was an important aspect for us as we were looking for a machine that could create the creamy and rich cafe-style coffee that we love. The Barista Express did achieve this, but took longer than other models we tried.
It comes with a massive water tank that can hold 67 ounces. It is easy to refill and comes with an integrated water filter which helps to remove impurities, keeping your coffee fresh. The machine is easy to clean, which is another excellent feature. Descale the machine at minimum every 3 months to avoid mineral build-up.
The Barista Express, like the other Breville machines we've tested, is designed for users to practice their skills. The machine doesn't have some of the advanced features that are available in other Breville machines, like an automatic milk maker and a display that shows how much water or pressure is being used. This does not mean that the Barista Express won't be a excellent choice for coffee enthusiasts looking to upgrade their home espresso machine.
This model comes with four portafilters, including both the pressurized and unpressurized versions. The machine also comes with a high-quality and convenient tamper. The tamper offers a wide range of adjustments that lets you achieve the perfect amount of pressure on your grounds when you are making a shot. It also comes with an infusion stage with low-pressure that helps level out the grind, and ensure a consistent extraction at 9 bar pressure.
Dual Boiler
This machine was created by Sage (or Breville worldwide) for those who prefer cafe quality espresso at home. It has two unique features that differentiate it from the rest of the competition. It utilizes an in-built bottomless filter that gives the image a pleasing appearance and allows you see how much pre-infusion has occurred. It also comes with a manual switch that will keep the machine in pre-infusion mode until you press it again. This is a great feature that replicates the way baristas at cafes work and makes it simple to pull excellent shots each time.
It also comes with an impressive steam pressure gauge, as well as the capability to alter the pre-infusion power according to the time taken for extraction. This feature is not common on domestic machines however it can make huge differences to your shots. And finally, it has an easy-to-read water level indicator to let you know when it's time to refill.
The main thing that separates this machine from the other Sage options is the fact that it comes with the dual boiler system. This allows it to brew and steam simultaneously which is very useful when making milk-based drinks. It also has a PID that gives you control over the temperature of the brew which isn't available on other machines. The only downside is that this machine costs more than one boiler or heat exchanger systems.
The EB590 also has a range of other features. It can be programmed to ensure that it starts to turn on at a specific time, so that it's there for you whenever you need it. This is a fantastic feature that isn't available on many other machines and is a huge advantage for people who rely on their coffee maker to get them up in the morning.
It also has an automatic standby mode as well as an auto shutdown which are both extremely useful features to improve energy efficiency. The auto shutoff feature is particularly useful as it will automatically shut off after one hour of inactivity. This will save money on your electric bill, and will also extend the life of the machine.
Oracle
Sage coffee machines are created with the user in mind and this is evident in their range of machines. They understand that not everyone is able to the task of making espresso barista-style, so they have created their machines to automatize the process to the highest extent possible, while still allowing users to be involved in the extraction and texture of the milk for cappuccino or latte art. Many of their models also come with a built-in grinder or can be used with a stand alone model for a complete bean to cup experience.
